Surprise proposal

 

Scott and I went to the same high school (Rocklin Highschool) he was one grade above me. We knew of each other through mutual friends but really hadn’t talked. I thought he was cute and nice but had a boyfriend at the time.

Years later when I was finishing nursing school I Sacramento and Scott was living in LA working in film/music, I added him as friend on Facebook. We started chatting on Facebook and eventually I had told Scott that If he was ever back in town that we could grab coffee. He told me he’d be up visiting the next day haha. From there we did long distance for a year while I completed residency program at UC Davis Med Center and then moved to Orange County to be together. We have been dating for 7 years and got engaged September 30, 2018.  He took us backpacking and proposed in a beautiful fern canyon in the redwood forest.
