Brianna & Guido

“That night, when the two of you met, I instantly knew this day would come.”

Brianna and Guido’s path’s finally crossed, as one of Guido’s law school buddies mentioned, “that night” back in March of 2015 at an all too familiar Pittsburgh bar.  The two had lived very parallel lives, with dozens of mutual friends and dozens of intersecting interests.  Far less than 6 degrees separated whom many have now come to know as “Bri-Do” from many chance meetings over the years.  The universe waited for just the right serendipitous collision to change both of their lives for the better.

Guido, born and raised in Scranton, PA and Brianna, born in raised south of Pittsburgh in Rostraver, PA without hesitation, leaped fearlessly into their 4 year journey.  Together the couple conquered Graduate degrees, new career opportunities, and eventually a new city that for now, they call home… Chicago.

On August 9^th of 2018, while visiting Guido’s family in Northeastern, PA, Guido proposed to his best friend during an off road excursion among the wildflowers in the mountains behind his sister Marisa’s lake house. Guido had convinced Brianna he had lost his phone along a familiar trail the day prior and asked her to accompany him on a search….She said Yes!!!

On September 14^th, the couple married in Pittsburgh, PA reciting their vows at Duquesne University’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit, the school from which they both graduated. The beautiful reception hosted by Brianna and Guido’s parents Larry and Lorraine Damich and Dr. Guido and Mary Ann LaPorta was attended by over three hundred of the couple’s nearest and dearest family and friends at the historical Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.

After a weekend filled with love and celebration, the couple returned to their current home in Chicago, IL where they plan to spend the early years of their marriage exploring their future together.
