Engagement Photo-shoot in Lake Tahoe

“We couldn’t say with certainty when we actually met. We had known, seen and even heard of each other for years before we actually “met”, but we would have to agree it was more or so the summer of 2014 that we first intended to make something more of it all. Ramiro had been living in the Santa Monica area for the past ten years and he had finally decided to move back that summer. That same summer he went on a cross country bike tour for charity, but we talked and texted while he was away. When he returned my busy schedule did not allow us to meet up until late November. We finally went on our first official date after months of “talking”. We spent almost every weekend together after that. We would go hiking, spend the day at the beach, watch any and every food show and go on missions to find the restaurant and rate it ourselves. Shortly after Ramiro moved to attend school, we both worked full time as well so we only saw each other about once a week since we now lived 3 hours away from each other. One of my favorite books is The Alchemist, there is a quote that always makes me think of our relationship “when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” No matter how much life may have pulled us apart, we wanted to be together so it always brought us back closer. We persevered through those years, the many ups and downs and we have now been living together for 2 years. We got engaged early this year and we still cannot decide what kind of wedding we want to have. Mostly because neither one of us ever imagined we would be getting married! We decided to take engagement pictures and chose the scenery to be Lake Tahoe, we love going up there and feel it perfectly captures both of us. The outdoorsy, woodsy, rustic rugged terrain yet elegant, unique and serene. We chose to do the “golden hour” because sunsets are my favorite.”
